

Ted was a man of many talents with extraordinary mechanical skills and business aptitude. Never one to sit idle, he continued to stay busy in construction and on the farm until health issues prevented such activities. He semi-retired in 1995, selling the Mobile Home and RV business to his daughter, Rita, and her husband Bruce, after purchasing a farm in Camp Creek where he grew up as a child. After many enjoyable years of meeting and connecting with young and old skaters alike, he sold the skating rink, moved the location and the Mobile Home and RV Parts business and started Jennings Construction Company. One job was never enough, so in moving back to West Virginia, he purchased and operated Jennings Skating Rink in Princeton and started a new business in Jennings Mobile Home and RV parts. In 1967, his entrepreneurial spirit and desire to be close to family brought him back to his native WV. He applied those skills in the workplace advancing to Lead Machinist at NCR in Dayton, Ohio, while at the same time starting and supporting J & S Trailer Sales, a partnership business with his sister Willie. He was a longtime resident of Mercer County.Īfter graduation from Spanishburg High School he served proudly in the United States Navy in the Korean War, learning the skills of Machinist and Tool maker. Born on November 30, 1933, in Camp Creek, he was the son of the late Lake Theodore Jennings Sr. Lake Theodore "Ted" Jennings Jr., 83, of Camp Creek, passed away on March 24, 2017.
